Description

Claverley Court is a brand new development of sixteen custom designed serviced apartments in London close to Harrods in Knightsbridge. Exotic marble and bespoke Italian woodwork transforms this former home of a WWII spy.

The building, which consists of two former London townhouses, boasts a colourful past. Occupants included a Viscount, Dowager Countess, Members of Parliament, high-ranking British officers and a spinster who played her part in ‘Operation Mincemeat’, a successful plot to deceive the German army during World War II.

An in-house team of designers has spent nearly two years planning and creating apartments to satisfy the needs and tastes of the most discerning visitor wishing to be part of London’s 2012 celebrations. The top three-bedroom penthouse is being decorated with exotic Madagaskan marble, walnut floors, designer furniture pieces and select works of art. An international team of manufacturers include Italian carpentry experts, Maestri, and furniture design house B&B Italia.

The very best fabrics, wallpapers, woven Wilton carpets and polished plaster finishes create a luxurious, yet comfortable and homely environment, even suitable for an extended stay. Lighting experts have been brought in to maximise natural light in the west and east facing apartments. This is complemented by low intensity, environmentally friendly lighting systems throughout.

Service will be a key area of focus at Claverley Court. A multi-lingual team will be available around the clock to offer personalised and discreet assistance and advice to guests. Services can range from beauty treatments in the privacy of your apartment to the culinary services of a personal chef or securing a table at one of the exclusive restaurants or clubs in Knightsbridge.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Payment

We accept payments by Cash, Credit or Debit cards and Bank Transfer. Please note that payments made by credit card attract a surcharge, see below “Credit card charges”.

For bookings for the low season we require a credit card to guarantee the reservation at the time of the booking and the full pre-payment of the rental at check in at the property.

For bookings for the high season we have a minimum stay policy and we require the payment of a one week non-refundable at the time of the booking in order to confirm the reservation. We also require full pre-payment of the balance 30 days prior the arrival, otherwise the apartment will be released.

Bookings of 30 to 60 nights stay

We require 1 week non-refundable deposit at the time of the booking and remaining balance on arrival.

Bookings of 60 nights stay and over

We require 1 week non-refundable deposit at the time of the booking and 1 month rental in advance and 1 month deposit prior to arrival or at check in, the remaining balance can be paid on a monthly basis.

Group bookings of 3 or more units of apartments

We require 1 week non-refundable for each unit of apartment reserved at the time of the booking.

Bookings From 18th July to 6th September 2015

We require 1 week non-refundable deposit at the time of the booking and the remaining balance 30 days prior to arrival date otherwise the apartment will be released.

Please note that for bookings for the high season we have a minimum stay policy of 4 weeks.

Credit Card Charges

Your card will NOT be charged at the time of booking but simply used to guarantee the reservation. The card will only be charged if you fail to arrive at the apartment without prior cancellation (see cancellation policy below). The property reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

Please note that payments made by credit card attract a surcharge of 3.5% for American Express, 3% for Mastercard, Switch/Maestro, Union Pay and 2% for Visa. Payment with a debit card from a UK Bank will not attract any charges but all other debit card will be charged as above.

Check-In & Check-Out Times

Check-in time is from 15:00pm

Check-out time is by 11:00am

Late Check-Out

Late check-out is subject to availability. You will need to check with reception on the day of departure. Extra charge may apply.

Cancellation Policy

Notification of cancellation is required 14 days prior to arrival. For bookings cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival you would be liable for the full cost of the stay unless the apartment can be re-let.

Once you have checked in you must give us 14 days notice in case of a reduction on your stay or the same policy will apply.

Cancellation for group bookings of 3 or more units of apartments

On group bookings of 3 or more units of apartments(or during the high season) notification of cancelation is required 30 days prior to arrival. Once you have checked in you must give us 30 days notice in case of a reduction on your stay or the same policy will apply.

Smoking

All our properties have a no-smoking policy in line with UK legislation. This policy covers the burning/smoking of all substances in our apartments, including incense. The property reserves the right to charge a penalty for non-compliance.

Security Deposit

Please note that at check in we require a security deposit to cover any incidental breakages or damages that may occur during occupation. The security deposit is usually an authorization on the guest credit card and this authorisation will be cancelled following settlement of any outstanding balance on your bill at check out and if no incidental expenses have been incurred.

excellent. Roy also found a service to help plan our activities while we were there. THe apartment was beautiful and very convenient. THis was definitely better than staying in a hotel. We felt like London was our home for 8 days!

Claverley Court is a high quality serviced apartment development in a quiet and cosy part of bustling Knightsbridge. The apartments are modern, beautifully finished, fully equipped, very clean, have cooling as well as heating (rare indeed in London) and a great range of TV channels (far more than most). The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay. My only issue (and which is not unique to Claverley Court and also applies to other serviced apartments in London) is that we are paying large sums of money in advance (100% of the lease cost in advance) without really being sure of what we will get when we arrive. I inspected in advance a 4th floor apartment with a lovely street view and specifically requested that apartment, which I was assured was available on the dates I needed. I even watched the front desk staff member reserve that specific apartment for me in his computer. However, when I checked-in, I was told that I was to be given an apartment on the ground floor right next to the reception area because the one on the fourth floor was not available. I resisted this and was eventually given a nice third floor apartment but not until two days later. It got things off to a rocky start and makes me think twice about going back. But when you are finally in the apartment you want, they are indeed lovely apartments for all the reasons mentioned above.
