It is free entry but some things require booking. Well worth a visit for the glistening lights!

The Southbank

Not only does the Southbank along the River Thames have a fabulous view of many of London’s iconic attractions, in winter it is home to a lovely Christmas Market. Seasonal produce is available of course including mulled wine, hot chocolate and toasted chestnuts. It’s the perfect place to pick up a handmade or unusual gift or souvenir.

Ice Rinks

It seems that in winter London is covered in ice… of the man made kind.  There are temporary ice rinks at iconic locations with stunning surroundings such as the Tower of London, the Natural History Museum, Hampton Court Palace, Somerset House and top shopping destinations such as Westfield London.

Pre and Post Christmas Shopping

You can enjoy the buzz and sheer shopping delight of London in winter. It may be colder but it is the perfect time to wrap up and admire the festive lights. Stores such as Harrod’s, Liberty’s and Selfridges are truly mesmerizing with lights and decorations.   For shopping before Christmas, you can enjoy the festive buzz and post Christmas enjoy the fantastic sales!
